Prismatica:
Science Fiction Poetry Spanning the Spectrum
Back Cover TextThis collection highlights Elizabeth's work, holding it up to the light from multiple angles. It proves her a master of form, from the common ballad and well-known sonnet to the intricate villanelle and deceptively simple prose poem.
-Janet D. Miles, CPS/CAP Cat’s Cradle There was a cat who walked through space and time. Her coat was gray as twilight, and her paws Tread softly on each second. Sabered claws Laid open vicious circles in their prime. There was a cat who walked through time and space. She played with cosmic strings and spun them forth In webs that stretched galactic south to north. She drank the Milky Way, and washed her face. Through spacetime, still, there walks a small gray cat. She watches wormholes for the cosmic mice – To her, all energy must taste the same. Her whiskers span the spectra, fine and flat; Who sees her once must surely see her twice. Not even Shroedinger could guess her name. (View the full cover image.)
