I have completed the repost of my articles on "How to Write Serial Poetry." You can read them all, complete with links to sample poems.
I have updated the series page for Fiorenza the Wisewoman. It now lists all the poems from the January 22, 2013 Poetry Fishbowl, with links to those that have been posted online. Keep an eye out because there will be more appearing online -- there is money in the general fund.
You can now read my article "The Shared World as Serial Literature."
I have added a section on Nonfiction Articles, a subsection on How to Write Serial Poetry, and the first article on "What Is Serial Poetry?" to my website. This is a reprint of a set of articles that I did last year for the Dreamwidth community Poetree.
I have updated my Serial Poetry page following the January 8, 2013 Poetry Fishbowl, which had a theme of "military science fiction." There is a new entry for "Tripping into the Future" and a new poem linked in "Lacquerware." The subpages for Kung Fu Robots and Monster House have been updated with new poems. Another new series, "An Army of One: The Autistic Secession" is already long enough to have its own subpage.
There will be a bonus fishbowl on Tuesday, January 22 featuring a poetic series. I have updated the Serial Poetry section to include poems from bingo fests, the Holiday Poetry Sale, and other recent activities. In particular, the new series "The Bat Vampires" now has an entry on the main Serial Poetry page. Updated subpages include Fiorenza the Wisewoman, Fledgling Grace, Hart's Farm, Kung Fu Robots, and One God's Story of Mid-Life Crisis. Everything should be current now, in preparation for the next Poetry Fishbowl on Tuesday, January 8 (on the topic of "military science fiction").
The Serial Poetry page was getting long and difficult to navigate. Several readers have expressed concerns about this; thank you for your input.
To improve navigation, I have created subpages for the longer series: Fiorenza the Wisewoman, Fledgling Grace, Hart's Farm, Kung Fu Robots, Monster House, The Ocracies, One God's Story of Mid-Life Crisis, The Origami Mage, Path of the Paladins, Sort Of Heroes, and The Steamsmith. The main Serial Poetry page now has just the description of those longer series followed by a link to the subpage. Each subpage has a link back to the main page for more series. I've also touched up the header text on the main Serial Poetry page. Subdividing the Serial Poetry page meets a goal on my list for 2013. |
