I have updated the Serial Poetry page to include the new poems from the June 5, 2012 Poetry Fishbowl. Look for "The Ceiling of Her Sky" in Path of the Paladins, "The Ruby Lens" in The Psychic Photographer," and "An Amazing Carriage of Amber and Jade" in The Steamsmith.

You can now read my story "The Flight of the Rose Butterfly" over on Torn World. This is the first story posted (though I have another drafted that happens earlier) that features my character Rai, twin brother of ellenmillion's character Bai. It shows their introduction to a popular musical instrument, the harmonichron. This is also a good example of how they cope with Rai's visual handicap. Check out the lovely pen-and-ink illustration that ellenmillion drew for it!
If you like this story and want to see more of these characters, please consider sending me credits or karma through Torn World's crowdfunding options. Same goes if you like the art; tip the artist. This is an advance announcement for the Tuesday, February 1 2011 Poetry Fishbowl in The Wordsmith's Forge. This time the theme will be "Vision & Sight." I'll be soliciting ideas for visionaries, seers, blind characters, monsters with magical sight, visual aids or artifacts, unusual types of vision, invisible things, plot twists that turn on spotting something, visions, places where visions may be sought, settings where it's easier or harder than usual to see things, the limitations of vision, and poetic forms in particular.
If you're interested, mark the date on your calendar, and please hold actual prompts until the "Poetry Fishbowl Open" post next week. Meanwhile, if you want to help with promotion, please feel free to link back here or repost this on your blog. There are new samples of scrapbooked poetry pages for you to enjoy! Today we received the hardcopy editions of my two new books From Nature's Patient Hands: A Collection of Poetry and Prismatica: Science Fiction Poetry Spanning the Spectrum. Woohoo! Real books! I'm so excited. It will be fun to package these up and mail them to all the folks who ordered the paperback version. (Ebooks go out as soon as I get the payment.)
